Rule 1 I will listen when the teacher is talking. Rule 2 I will follow directions quickly and quietly. Rule 3 I will keep my hands and feet to myself. Rule 4I will raise my hand to speak or stand. Rule 5I will be safe, be kind, be honest. Rule 6I will do my best!!

I believe in the power of positive reinforcement and will use it to encourage, support and redirect your child and reward positive behavior. Individual Recognition Super Improver Wall / DeVries Dollars Table Points Class Points

Homework is sent home on Monday. It will include: spelling activities, a reading passage with questions, and math review. Students are expected to read 20 minutes each night. Homework is due on Friday.

Every Friday, students who have completed their work in class and returned their homework will get to participate in our “Fun Friday” incentive activity.

The week of your child’s birthday they will be the Star of the Week. Every effort will be made to celebrate on the week that it falls however, adjustments may necessary for holidays and weekends. Summer birthdays will be celebrated on the student’s ½ birthday. (June- Dec, July-Jan, August-Feb.) If you would like to send a treat you may but it is not necessary. In keeping with District policy, it must be a store-bought treat. Also, please let me know of any food allergies that your child may have.

I absolutely love to have volunteers in our class and the students love to have you here too! If you can help in any way, we would really appreciate it. There are lots of ways to volunteer. Please let me know if you are available to help.
