INTASC Standards Page INTASC Standard #2: Learning Differences  The teacher uses understanding of individual differences and diverse cultures and communities to ensure inclusive learning environments that enable each learner to meet high standards. Description:  For this assignment, I was asked to create a physical education management plan through a PowerPoint. After creating the PowerPoint, I was to present my presentation where I talked about philosophy. This PowerPoint is to have a reference page and INSTAC Standards page along with author’s philosophy, classroom management and safety philosophy. Rationale:  In order to demonstrate my understanding of InTASC Standard #1: Learner Development, I chose to include my PowerPoint presentation on Physical Education Management Plan. In this PowerPoint I used academic techniques to create a learning environment for students with different developmental learning styles. Lastly, through my classroom management I am able to find my challenging learning experiences. I mastered this standard through my studying and research about differences and how to create a classroom management plan through the differences in all children.

Author’s Philosophy  “ Keeping the students in line” (Kovar, 2011).  Teachers are trying to control students.  Teachers are responding incorrectly to misbehavior.  Sometimes teachers see their students are robots (Kovar, 2011).  Overall, the students are the ones that are in control and I think that it is very important for the teacher to be able to see and work with the students. Being in control of what they learn and how their behavior is in the classroom and working with the students through this way is very important. I believe this was the best for helping students choose responsible behavior.

Classroom Management Philosophy  I believe classroom management is very important to the classroom. I believe that if each student takes responsibility, is fair, justice, honest, and discipline is received in the classroom that students will be able to learn. Encouraging each student to have activity time, the students will be able to get all of their energy out. This will also provide time for students to get out of the classroom and not have as much problems with behavior inside the class. I believe having classroom management in the class is key to learning.

Safety Philosophy  I believe that safety is key to learn. Having safety inside the classroom and around the school is important because if the students do not feel safe in a learning environment this will be hard for the students to learn anything. When students feel safe in their school and classroom they are able to focus on studying and learning. Keeping my students safe is very important to me as a teacher. The students are trusting me to keep them safe. I believe that it is part of my job to make sure each of my students feel safe.

Classroom Management Routine  Come into the classroom and put jackets and book bags away.  Turn in homework into tray.  Pick lunch choice, sharpen pencils and start morning work.  Voices should be off and eyes should be on morning work.  I will then take attendance.  When done with morning work, quietly go and sit on the floor.  Reading time would then begin.  At the end of the day each student would have a job they would have to complete before the dismissal.
