Presentation transcript:

Global warming has become perhaps the most complicated issue nowadays.

what is global warming? The planet is heating up and fast.

THE EARTH HEATS UP IT HAPPENS WHEN GREEN HOUSE GASES TRAP HEAT AND LIGHT FROM THE SUN IN THE EARTH’S ATMOSPHERE WHICH INCREASE THE TEMPERATURE. THIS HURTS MANY PEOPLE,ANIMALS,PLANTS.

What is the green house effect? The greenhouse effect is when the temperature rises because the sun’s heat and light is trapped in the earth’s surface.

Rise in the sea level The water covers many low lands, islands, the plants and cause some of them to die so, the animals lose a source of food, along with their habitat, but people lose two sources of food, plant food and animal food.

One thing that causes global warming is electrical pollution, fossil fuels are burned to create electricity. Fossil fuels are made up of dead plants and animals. Many pollutants are sent into the air when fossil fuels are burned. Some of these chemicals are called greenhouse gases.

During the day especially during the summer, it would be burning because the sun would be up with no atmosphere to filter it, so people, plants and animals would be exposed to all the heat and light.

If we want to live longer, to be safer and in good health we must protect our environment

Environment

INTRODUCTION Anything that surrounds us is called environment Environment includes everything present in the nature from all nonliving things to all living things

TYPES OF ENVIRONMENT  NATURAL ENVIRONMENT  It is the one that has a natural existence.  It lacks manmade resources  e.g. Waterfalls, forests, etc.  BUILT ENVIRONMENT  It is the one for which man are responsible.  It lacks natural existence.  e.g. Cities, dams, etc.

Components of environment  Biotic Components  The plants and various creatures compose the biotic components of environment. It is of three types. 1.Producer - plants 2.Consumer - humans 3.Decomposers - algae, fungi  Abiotic Components  Under it, nonliving factors come into existence.  Like – wind, light, temperature, etc.

FACTORS OF ENVIRONMENT DEGRADATION 1Deforestation 2Using fossil fuels 3Automobile exhausts 4Acid rain 5Liberation of smokes and dust from factories and chimneys

MEASURES TO PROTECT ENVIRONMENT 1.Planting more and more trees. 2.Using renewable sources of energy. 3.Using eco- friendly materials. 4.Using things which are recyclable in nature. 5.Using non- polluting sources of vehicles such as bicycle or rickshaw.

NEED TO PROTECT ENVIRONMENT Environment degradation is depleting ourselves. Hence, we must understand that biophysical environment is meant for all and each of us must learn the importance of ecological balance. Each of us must try our label best to reduce environmental exploitation and must play a positive role in making the world clean tidy and green. Because we all know that ‘we wont have a society if we wont have an environment.’

When earth is well, we are well. We will only succeed after we save our earth.
