2 How are human actions contributing to
global warming?

3 What is global warming? Global Warming is the increase of earth's average surface temperature due to the effect of greenhouse gases. It only happens when green house gases such as carbon dioxide, water vapor, nitrous oxide, and methane traps the heat and the light from the sun in the earth’s atmosphere, which increases the temperature.  This effect many people, animals, and plants. Some of them can’t take the changes of the climate and they die.

5 What is Greenhouse effect ?
There are two meaning of this term “Greenhouse effect” One of them is “natural" green house effect” and another one is “man-made" greenhouse effect” Natural greenhouse effect basically does is, it keeps the earth warm and livable for us , and man-made does is, that it is effected by the greenhouse gasses from the burning of the fossil fuels which are petroleum, coal, and natural gas.

7 What are the green house gases ?
Carbon dioxide, Water vapor (H2O ), Methane (CH4 ), nitrous oxide (N2O ), and a few other gases are greenhouse gases. About 80-90% of the Earth's natural greenhouse effect is due to water vapor, a strong greenhouse gas. The other gases are due to carbon dioxide, methane, and a few other minor gases. Carbon dioxide consists of one carbon atom with an oxygen atom bonded to each side. When its atoms are bonded tightly together, the carbon dioxide molecule can absorb infrared radiation (is thermal heat or energy) and the molecule starts to vibrate. The vibrating molecule will release the radiation again, and it will probably be absorbed by another greenhouse gas molecule. This absorption-emission-absorption cycle helps to keep the heat near the surface, effectively insulating the surface from the cold of space. All the other gasses are molecules composed of more than two large atoms, bound loosely together to able to vibrate with the absorption of the heat. The major components of the atmosphere (N2  and O2 ) are two-atom molecules too tightly bound together to vibrate and they do not absorb heat and contribute to the greenhouse effect.

8 What causes global warming?
There are many things that causes global warming. One of the most cause full global warming is electrical pollution. Electricity causes pollution in many ways. Fossil fuels are burned to create electricity.  Fossil fuels are made of dead plants and animals, fossil fuels also can be oil and petroleum. Chemicals that pollute the air, water, and land are spread into the air when fossil fuels are burned. Some of these chemicals are called greenhouse gasses. Example of using energy and polluting the air are: more than the sources that give off less pollution. Turning on a light Watching T.V. Listening to a stereo Washing or drying clothes Using a hair dryer Riding in a car Heating a meal in the microwave Using an air conditioner Playing a video game

9 What is global warming doing to the environment ?
Global warming is affecting many parts of the world.  Global warming makes the sea rise, and when the sea rises, the water covers many low land islands.  This is a big problem for many of the plants,  animals, and people on islands.  The water covers the plants and causes some of them to die.  When they die, the animals lose a source of food, along with their habitat.  Although animals have a better ability to adapt to what happens than plants do, they may die also.  When the plants and animals die, people lose two sources of food, plant food and animal food.  They may also lose their homes.  As a result, they would also have to leave the area or die.  This would be called a break in the food chain, or a chain reaction, one thing happening that leads to another and so on.
