SUPPLIES- What do I need to bring to class EVERY day? BINDER (used for all your classes) NB Paper (wide-ruled) Pencil Pen A WINNING ATTITUDE !!!!!! Other materials such as colored pencils (on request) BACK TO MAIN PAGE

DURING INSTRUCTION  Listen to the me with full attention.  No pencil sharpening, talking, or whispering.  Don’t write anything during instruction, you will be given time for taking notes.  Ask permission to speak by raising your hand.  Ask questions related to the subject.  After instruction, make sure you understand the concept. If not, ask questions by mentioning which part you didn’t understand.

WHILE YOU ARE WORKING  Make sure you read or listen to the directions about your work and understand them.  If you didn’t understand, ask for help from other students sitting around you. If they also don’t understand, raise your hand and ask me to explain it or draw the appropriate “assistance signal” on your paper so I know that you need help. - means you know/understand what to do ? - means that you aren’t sure what to do  - means that you do not know what to do

IF I RAISE MY HAND (Quiet Signal)  Stop whatever you are doing at that moment.  Face me and wait silently.  Notify any classmates who haven’t noticed that the teacher has raised his hand.  No talking or whispering. All of your attention should be given to the me.

Other “Hand Signals” If you need to use the restroom or drink water. Remember, only one student out at a time and sign out/in. If you need paper or pencil/pen. Remember to return the pencil/pen and when you have extra paper put some back

STAGGERED DISMISSAL EVERYONE should be READY to leave when the bell rings… WHEN THE FIRST BELL RINGS, those of you leaving the building for your next class can leave… ONCE THE HALLWAY HAS CLEARED, those of you with your next class may leave when the second bell sounds. BACK TO MAIN PAGE

TURNING IN WORK All work to be turned in will be placed in the appropriate period tray/drawer on the table under the bathroom sign in/out sheet.

WHEN YOU ARE ABSENT…  Get the assignments from your classmates or from the web page (if possible) and any worksheets from me. Do the work at home.  If you miss turning in a homework or project, please turn it in as soon as you return to school.  If you missed a test because of your excused absence, talk to me and arrange a time to make up the test.

LATE WORK EXCUSED ABSENCE- you have the # of days you were out to hand in the work. DIDN’T TURN IN ON DUE DATE…you may still turn in late work. The penalty is 10 pts. off for every day it is late.

LATE WORK ANY work that is turned in late (whether you were absent of failed to turn in on due date) must be given DIRECTLY TO MR. LINDSTROM. Mr.L will indicate on the paper the correct late penalty, if any, and place it in line for grading

TESTS STUDY…STUDY…STUDY Jeopardy Review What if I don’t do well? Can I re-do the test for a better grade? Yes. The two grades will be averaged together. First attempt 54%...re-take 88%...average 71%

Cheating on ANYTHING If you are caught looking on someone’s paper on a test you will receive a 0 % for that test. If you are caught copying someone else’s paper then both people will get a zero. If there is a suspicion of cheating between two or more people, both will asked to re- do the assignment. ANY OPPROTUNITY FOR RE-TAKING WILL BE FORFEITED

BATHROOM and WATER POLICY You may bring a water bottle to class. It must be a “brand name” water bottle. It must be clear plastic and have ONLY water in it.
