2014 SOMD JAMBOREE Hosted by Pax River Raiders Youth Football League August 23rd at Lancaster Park Info Packet

2014 SOMD JAMBOREE Hosted by Pax River Raiders Youth Football League Jamboree Format and Rules: Coaches required to check teams in 45 mins prior to scheduled start time and verify entry fee payment of $50.00. Cash or Check is acceptable if payment made at venue. The “Honor System” will be in place for coaches to follow their organizational bylaws for their kids ages and weights There will be 2 field marshals assigned at each field they will manage teams, keep time, & record scores at the end of the quarter Each player should get at least 2 periods of play to ensure maximum team participation, teams will get 4 periods of play. (4 Series on Offense & 4 Series on Defense) Coaches are expected to have their teams at their assigned fields & ready to play at start times Teams are expected to enter and exit fields quickly to allow for the next series of games to begin on time. First team listed on schedule is the home team and will start on offense Each game is allotted a 50 yard field (regulation width with 1 end zone), Two regulation 100 yard fields yields 4 playing fields Every offensive series starts at the 35 yard line facing towards the end zone Running clock format, 50 min periods (15 min Offense / 10 min Break / 15 min Defense and 10 min Break for Team Changes) Two coaches per team permitted on the field at all times for both offense and defense, must keep 10 yards from play once aligned No parents are allowed on the field at any time and must remain off the playing field and side line Since no league officials will be present each team will provide one coach to be an official resulting two officials per game All Penalties will result in resetting ball from previous spot, all turnovers will result in resetting ball at 35 yard line Offense keeps the ball regardless of fumbles, interceptions, loss of downs, etc. UNTIL your team's allotted time expires No time outs, even for injuries, clock will continue running and play will stop until injured player is safely removed from the field For Offensive time delays, running clock, no point deductions, maintain possession until the allotted time expires (15 min period) For Defensive time delays, running clock, however will incur a 1 pt deduction for every 2 mins of play stoppage All touch downs will result in 1 point, no extra points, after a score reset to the 35 yard line & continue until allotted time expires No special teams play (i.e. no kickoff, punt, or field goals) At completion of game report scores to assigned field marshals Scores will be finalized at the completion of the fourth quarter and results will be announced followed with awards Trophies will be provided to 1st and 2nd place coaches and their players will receive medals for either 1st or 2nd place Please remember to show “Sportsmanship” and to respect the other teams coaches, players, and parents. Keep in mind this jamboree is designed to help teams prepare for the regular season by facing multiple opponents at one event
