Listening Activities  1.Warm-up:  introduce the topic and focus their  attention  2. Listen and respond:  listen to a text and respond in a variety  of ways  3. Follow-up:  practice what they have learned using  the other language skills

Techniques used to encourage learners to listen  1. Listen and complete  2. Listen and correct  3. Listen and do  4. Listen and draw  5. Listen and guess  6. Listen and match  7. Listen and reorder

Speaking Activities  1. Setting up:  The topic may be demonstrated to the  whole class, or learners may make  materials to be used during the speaking  practice.  2. Speaking practice:  Learners communicate with each other in  pairs or groups, or compete as teams.  3. Feedback:  A few of the learners may report to the rest of the class. The teacher gives feedback.
