Task 2 – Select & use tools and facilities to download files/information

Your Job You have been employed to help publish a range of products as a back up to the Good Food Limited website that can be sold to schools for 9 to 11 year olds. Your job is to design and test a sample nutritional information pack for a child. It must include a range of materials that will enable the school to see that it will be a valuable resource to inform and advertise the benefits of healthy eating. Spreadsheet to record the child’s fruit and vegetable intake Database of fruit and vegetables - for searches Database reports showing information taken from searches Quality documentation to promote the business and to be used in the information pack Slideshow which sells the benefits of healthy eating to students with speaker notes.

Task 2 Use 2 or more search engines Find out about the benefits of 5 a day for Mr Richard Thompson (owner of the company). The information will be used in task 8 the slideshow posters and for task 6 the recipe cards. Provide evidence of your effective/advanced search criteria (Annotated screenshots) and explanation of keywords, quotes, boolean operators Collect evidence from 5 websites and save 1 – 3 paragraphs of relevant information about each site by filling in the COMPANY RESEARCH DOCUMENT. Comments on site trustworthiness, validity and date of information sources.

Task 2 continued: Use favourites to store and organise the websites you find into folders (Annotated screenshots) Locate suitable text and images from clipart and provide evidence of the search criteria used by annotated screenshots Obtain 5 or more copyright free text and graphics that can be used. These must be “legal, decent and honest”. Provide screenshots and explanation on how these comply with legislation.
