5. Assessment criteria
Level 3: You have found out some information using different sources (Internet AND books). You have talked about people’s basic human rights. You have given some ideas as to how things could be changed. Level 4: As level 3, plus you use a wider range of sources (Internet, books, newspapers, podcasts, etc.) to find out your answers. You have provided your own opinion about the situation. Level 5: As levels 3 and 4, plus you have looked at other people’s viewpoints (like the factory owner, the person buying cheap clothes), not just your own. You have presented information very clearly, and you have explained your reasons for your opinions. Level 6: As levels 3, 4 and 5, plus you have analysed your sources of information and looked for any signs of bias, and said how valid the sources are. You have started to think about the systems of government that have led to child labour, and how this compares to the UK. Level 7: As levels 3, 4, 5 and 6, plus you have argued the case for child labour persuasively and the case against child labour persuasively.
