Classroom Rules & Procedures Ms. Rhodes

Expectations  Computers are used for assignments only—NO GAMES.  Use appropriate language.  Keep your hands, feet, and objects to yourself.  Raise your hand to speak.  Have materials ready on time (when the bell rings).  Bring a pen/pencil and paper daily.  Use restroom during break.  Remember to push in chairs before you leave.  Recycle paper, take all trash with you.

Rules, Con’t.  When the tardy bell rings-get to work quickly on the bellringer.  Please remain seated while I am speaking.  Be respectful of classmates’ comments and ideas during class discussion.  Respect all people, school property and the property of others in this room.  Follow all school rules as stated in the student handbook.

Cell Phone Use  Cell phones should not be visible during class.  If I see your cell phone during this class, I will have to confiscate the phone and take it to the office.  I will be having a text break during every class for two minutes.  After the text time, cell phones must again be put out of sight.  You may only use your phone in class if I give permission for an assignment.

Good Lab Practice  No food or drinks are allowed in this lab to protect our computers.  Keep your area clean and neat. Clean up when you leave the room.  Work until the class is over.  PLEASE STAY SEATED UNTIL DISMISSED.  Have User Name and Password written down and with you every day.

Grading Policy  Formative assessments=20% of grade  Notes  Class activities  Bell ringers/Exit slips  Quizzes  Summative assessments=60% of grade  Unit Exams  Final Exam=20% of grade

Recycling  The blue recycling bin in the front of the room is for paper only.  There are recycling containers for plastic and aluminum in the cafeteria.  Think GREEN!
