In Kindergarten we use Animated Literacy and Words Their Way for Phonics. We introduce letters of the alphabet, alphabet sound and hand motions. We practice manuscript handwriting based on Zaner-Bloser.

One Healthy Snack Birthdays Birthdays will not be celebrated during instructional time. Please feel free to join your child for lunch and distribute cookies, cupcakes, doughnuts, etc (no whole cakes or cookie cakes please!) Invitations may be passed out at school only if ALL children from our class are invited. Teachers are not permitted to give out addresses, phone numbers or addresses. Volunteers - We would love your help in the following Areas: Mystery Readers – to be set up sometime in September Materials volunteers – cutting, laminating, making booklets Room Rep(s), Art Print, Media Center, Art Class Donations – Saltines, goldfish, or pretzels.
