CLIENT PROPOSAL – prepared by the “In the News” production company  ‘In the News’ is an opportunity to get involved in the world of media and television. ‘In the News’ experts preview news broadcasts created by young people and arrange for the best to be shown on community television channels.  You must produce a news broadcast for the ‘In the News’ experts to preview. This will be a multimedia broadcast that features a headline story about youth achievement.  You will choose the target audience and a title for your broadcast. Within this broadcast there needs to be a range of media content to make it look and feel more professional. You will be required to produce a videoed weather forecast that will be shown during the news broadcast.  A range of youth achievements in the area will need to be highlighted, these could include community support, sport, local educational achievements or anything that requires merit. These tests should allow you to make improvements to your work before submitting the ePortfolio to the company for evaluation. 1 Task 1 (P/M/D) - Create a test table that tests the different range of Assets in your Products Folder. These tests should allow for changes to quality and content and should include: 1 What Am I testing, 2 What should happen, 3 What did happen, 5 Steps to Correct and 5 Evidence. For pass you should test 4 things, for Merit, 5 and for Distinction 6 and the language used in the evidence should be descriptive. 2 Task 2 (P/M/D) – Create a test table that tests the different range of features on your ePortfolio Website. Task 3 (P, M, D) Testing the ePortfolio is important but there are things that can go wrong form one version of testing to another. You will need to explain to the client which browser you have tested the ePortfolio on and evidence to them that the overall Portfolio of Assets is less than the recommended size limit set by the client of 50mb. If the entire portfolio of work is more than this size you will need to reduce down the assets within the folder. Use Format Factory or Office Picture Manager to do this. 3 Task 3 (P/M) – Explain which browser was used for testing and evidence reducing your ePortfolio to less than 50Mb. When you do this, try not to reduce the quality of the files too much, choose which files would be best to reduce and by what standard.

The final version of the broadcast needs to be reviewed by several reviewers.
