This unit is made up of six topics. Each topic is called an Assessment Objective (AO).
The six Assessment Objectives are:

5. AO1: Design a Multimedia Website
Introduction
AO1: Design a Multimedia Website
This Assessment Objective assesses how well candidates can plan a website which fulfils the stated purpose and the needs of the target audience.
Highlights include:
producing a detailed site plan for the website
analysis of the purpose of the website and the needs of the target audience.

6. AO2: Create Multimedia Webpages
Introduction
AO2: Create Multimedia Webpages
In this Assessment Objective, you will learn how to produce a website of at least five pages.
Highlights include:
creating and using templates to create a website which will contain text, images, navigation and other elements
choosing and using appropriate filenames for your work
some candidates will use cascading style sheets to produce their website.

7. AO3: Create Functioning Hyperlinks

AO3: Create Functioning Hyperlinks
In this Assessment Objective, you will create functioning hyperlinks to use on your website.
Highlights include:
a study of the wide range of different types of hyperlink you can use as part of a navigation system
experimentation with different types of hyperlinks and navigation systems.

8. AO4: Create Interactive Elements

AO4: Create Interactive Elements
In this Assessment Objective, you will consider different interactive elements and apply them to your website.
Highlights include:
an understanding of the range of interactive elements you can use on your website
using different interactive elements within your website to suit both the purpose of the website and the needs of the target audience.

9. AO5: Create a User Form for Capturing User Feedback

AO5: Create a User Form for Capturing User Feedback
For this Assessment Objective, you will create a user form to capture feedback from users of the website.
This form may either be printed off and completed or completed and submitted online.
Highlights include:
planning and creating a working user form which includes a range of features.

10. the use of a test table to plan a range of suitable tests

Once you have completed your website, you must test it to check whether it works as intended. This Assessment Objective assesses how well you do this.
Highlights include:

testing the website and making any changes that your testing suggests are necessary.
