Accessible, Practical Learning for Staff Induction and General Health & Safety Awareness Welcome to ‘Getting Started in Health and Safety’

The highly interactive format gives individual employees a very practical overview of key issues and responsibilities. It features a wide range of everyday situations which bring Health and Safety to life in many different settings!

Consistent, flexible learning Based on UK / EU standards, the package takes approx. 4 hours to complete. Each learner receives a personal certificate on completion of the full package. Aimed at individual employees in its standard form, the package covers 4 essential areas: Our responsibilities Day to day health and safety Emergency procedures Reporting and prevention

Each section guides you through essential knowledge and how it applies in practice. You can use the menus and navigation buttons to move around – so you don’t have to work through the sections in a set order. You can also return to the course whenever you like while your license is active.

Practical activities, tasks and quizzes are included throughout to help you apply the learning. The system will keep a record of your previous responses which will automatically appear when you revisit the section, and you can check your answers against other people’s. You can also record key learning points and ideas in your personal action plan.

You can benefit from a wide range of background documentation in our Resource Centre, and follow the web-links in each section of the package for further information and advice. The Resource Centre can also be customised where organisations want to include their own policies and procedures.

Customise the package for your corporate needs Getting started in H & S can be tailored to provide introductory training for managers and members of the facilities management team responsible for implementing company policies and procedures. For example, we can adapt: Specific activities to align with your processes Quizzes – to provide tailored assessment of key learning points, including more formal assessments to test individual competence Learning resources and information – including links to your documents and further training details Access to the package – to coordinate with your corporate intranet or Learning Management System Management reports allow you to keep track of completion to support your corporate compliance requirements – and you can be confident that all employees receive the same high quality training.
