President Abraham Lincoln Gave a speech called the Gettysburg Address on November 19,1863. The occasion was given to the soldiers in battle. He gave the speech as long as he could so the u.s.a could enjoy there freedom. This speech lasted only 2min and contained 272 words. This occasion was an important opportunity for the president to honor those who gave there life in battle This Battle was the most bloodiest battle the union lost over 7,000 men in a 3 day battle.

Emancipation Proclamation Lincoln issued the emancipation proclamation on September 22,1862 as the united states was facing there 3 rd year of war. On January 1 st 1862,declared that all people hold as slaves should be free.

Eli Whitney Eli Whitney was born in Westbro, Massachusetts on December 8,1765 and died January 8, He graduated at Yale college in A year later in October of 1793 Eli Whitney sent a picture of his new invention the cotton gin. The people said your invention may be delivered to your order immediately. Eli struggled to construct a full sized machine compared to his smaller version of his cotton gin. A year later he got it!
