SMART Goal Focus Area  Domain 3: Instruction  Component 3d: Providing Feedback to Students  Domain 3: Instruction  Component 3d: Providing Feedback to Students

My Goal  To provide effective feedback to teacher-candidates.

My SMART Goal  To provide feedback to teacher- candidates in General Instructional Methods within two weeks of giving the assignment, using rubrics that are provided to the teacher-candidates prior to their turning in of the assignment.

SMART Goal Justification  I personally like written feedback that is specific to the assignment.  I want to continue my work in designing formative and summative assessments that require more engagement on the students part.  This will help me prepare for a teacher workshop that I will host regarding assessment.  Finally, between other work and family responsibilities I can easily fall behind in returning student work.  I personally like written feedback that is specific to the assignment.  I want to continue my work in designing formative and summative assessments that require more engagement on the students part.  This will help me prepare for a teacher workshop that I will host regarding assessment.  Finally, between other work and family responsibilities I can easily fall behind in returning student work.

My Improvement Plan In order to achieve my goal I need to: 1.Review the lesson plan rubric and course rubric with Block faculty to ensure their relevancy and reliability. 2.Have all rubrics created prior to giving assignments. All assignments can be accessed on my website. 1.Review the lesson plan rubric and course rubric with Block faculty to ensure their relevancy and reliability. 2.Have all rubrics created prior to giving assignments.
