G ENERAL S CHEDULE 7:45-8:00- Morning work 8:00-9:45- Reading 9:45-10:00- Snack 10:00-10:35- Small groups/stations 10:35-11:20- PE 11:20-11:50- Writing 11:50-12:15- Lunch 12:15-1:15- Math 1:15-2:20- Science/Social Studies 2:20-2:30- Pack up/Dismissal

ATTENDANCE School begins at 7:45. You MUST sign your child in any time after that. All absences require a written excuse (please send the day your child returns) 3 parent excuses per semester 3 unexcused absences/ 5 tardies will result in a truancy letter from the principal

SNACK Snack time is at 9:45 each day. Please send snack/drink DAILY. Items are available for purchase at school as well. NO peanut products for snack, please.

LUNCH Breakfast $1.00 Visitors $2.25 Lunch $2.00 Visitors $3.50 Please fill out free/reduced forms. Students may not bring candy or carbonated drinks for lunch.

G RADES AND HOMEWORK Homework sheet will come home every MONDAY in your child’s binder (please leave in there). Sometimes changes have to be made due to special events. Reading tests will be on different days each week. We encourage 30 minutes of reading per night. Spelling tests will be on Thursday. Science/Social Studies will all depend on the length of each chapter. Math will all depend on the length of each chapter. As we dive into multiplication facts, we encourage you to practice these daily. Homework will be assigned most nights.

H ANDBOOK CHANGES Handbook is online for viewing, if you do not have internet access please notify the teacher and she will provide a handbook for you Soft-soled boots can now be worn in the winter. No sandals, crocs, or flip flops No dress shoes, no heels No cowboy boots, hard bottom boots Students must maintain a 75 average in conduct to participate in field trips. Back packs must be clear or mesh

B RING Y OUR O WN DEVICE BYOD policy is new – There are changes in technology and digital devices, please sign the form and return. Your child does not need to bring the device to school unless the teacher has given them permission. The school and teacher are not responsible for the device.

CONDUCT Folders will come home every TUESDAY and need to be returned on Wednesday. Please make comments in the space provided as needed for communication. Look for: conduct grade for the week, current AR points/goal, current AR comprehension grade (both will count as report grades), test papers (sign and return all tests with failing grades)

C AR R IDERS Parents are required to purchase car tags for any students who may be a car rider during the school year. You may purchase this from the classroom teacher today. Car tags are $2.00 Please be patient with traffic in the mornings and afternoons.
