The Personal Statement Prompt #1 (freshman applicants) Describe the world you come from – for example, your family, community or school – and tell us how your world has shaped your dreams and aspirations. Prompt #2 (all applicants) Tell us about a personal quality, talent, accomplishment, contribution or experience that is important to you. What about this quality or accomplishment makes you proud and how does it relate to the person you are?

Eligibility vs Selection Must complete the A-G requirements with a minimum of a 3.0 during the 10 th and 11 th grades Must take either the ACT Assessment plus Writing or the SAT Reasoning Two SAT Subject Tests in two different subject areas Calculate your UC Score based off GPA and SAT/ACT test scores

How do you calculate your UC Score ??? Use the blue form you have in your hands… OR Log onto the website….

Eligibility Example GPA = 3.1, therefore I must get a UC Score of 198 to be eligible Reading score of 520, translates into a UC Score of 53 Math score of 480 = UC Score 47 Writing score of 450 = UC Score 42 Subject Test of US History 600 = UC Score 67 Subject Test of Biology 540 = UC Score 57 Add up the UC Score ( = 266)
