New Professional Qualifications The government is committed to improving the level of Physical Education and Sport within primary schools. As such, the Association of Physical Education (AfPE) and Sports Leaders UK are now awarding a brand new qualification for qualified Primary School Teachers, Higher Teaching & Learning Assistants (HTLA). The qualification delivers the knowledge and training to qualify and certify a Primary School Teacher (or HTLA) as a Primary School Physical Education Specialist Teacher.

Sports Leaders UK endorsement Sports Leaders UK offers an endorsement service for programmes of learning/training and materials which support the delivery of our regulated qualifications. Endorsement from Sports Leaders UK means that your training and materials for tutors and learners provide a high quality experience and meet the requirements for the delivery of our qualifications, with added value for learners.

Sports Leaders UK Accreditation offer Sports Leaders UK accreditation is a service for training programmes and awards that your organisation delivers to its employees and/or volunteers. Please see the accreditation criteria that your training programme or award must meet to achieve Sports Leaders UK accreditation – all criteria must be met. By having Sports Leaders UK accreditation, your training programme or award will have recognition from the sector leader in sports leadership and sports volunteering. You will be able to use the ‘Accredited by Sports Leaders UK’ logo in your advertising and marketing, as well as on your training materials and certificates* for the accredited training or award.

Funding

Tutor Training Funding £150 per person towards the cost of Tutor Training (Normally £206.00) Must be either : New Inactive for 2 years Offer new level or type of qualification

Partnership Tutor Training Funding £ towards a bespoke tutor training day. Minimum of 25 Tutors Each tutor working towards 50 learners over 3 years.

Learner Funding £ per centre New Inactive for 18 months Again working towards 50 learners over 3 years.
