2 National Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) Skills Active - Health and Fitness National Occupational Standards (NOS) for dance in a health and fitness environment E.g. Level 2 certificate in teaching Street dance to adults, Level 3 (CYQ) teacher in Exercise, movement and dance Creative and Cultural Skills – Arts and Culture NOS for dance in an arts and cultural environment E.g. Level 6 Diploma in Dance Teaching and Learning (Children and Young People)

3 Dance Qualification Framework Dance Associations Internal frameworks and styles to those associations E.g. ISTD, IDTA, RAD, Level 4 Diploma in Dance Education (DDE) Leadership qualifications in Dance Map to the National Occupational standards in leadership in the context of dance Requires different skill sets and learning outcomes to a teaching qualification E.g. Sports Leaders UK Level 1 qualification in Dance Leadership

5 Zumba! Zumba training is a 1 day qualification for ages 18+ Zumba Fitness is a piece of cpd endorsed by SkillsActive so if you are an existing member you can gain 4 CPD REPS Points through attending a Zumba Training day Zumba teachers must also meet the minimum standards If working in a fitness environment, Zumba teachers should also have Level 2 Exercise to Music qualification or Level 2 EMD http://www.zumba.com/instructors/search http://www.zumba.com/instructors/search
