25 Birthday Policy

26 School Policy: Due to the importance of instructional time, the increasing number of students with food allergies, and the Etiwanda School District Wellness Policy, when parents are planning to send a treat for their child’s birthday, please adhere to the following: -Make prior arrangements with the teacher -Limit your treat to one item -Provide the treat in single serving size -Treats will be enjoyed during recess or during P.E. time. Our district has adopted a Wellness Policy to encourage a healthy lifestyle for our students. Please consider a healthy food option whenever possible. Thank you for contributing to the health of our children. Another option for recognizing your child’s birthday at school is to join our PTA Birthday Book Club. Make a donation of $15 to our Club, and your child will be able to select a library book in his/her honor. We have special book plates that will be placed inside the book indicating that it was donated in honor of your child’s birthday. The book will be placed in the library for all to read and enjoy for years to come! Balloons, floral arrangements and other personal deliveries are discouraged and will not be delivered to classrooms. Monthly Birthday Bash
