Who are we? SES WORLD SKIES is made up from SES AMERICOM with its 35 years in providing satellite communication services to the Americas and NEW SKIES which has over 10 years experience in providing satellite space across the globe. We provide satellite communications services to media, enterprise and government customers globally. We operate a global fleet of 28 satellites that covers all oceanic regions and inhabited land masses and have 957 transponders. And, we are growing… With a combined revenue of close to a billion dollars in 2009, we have 350 employees and more than 550 customers in 100 countries. We have offices in Princeton, Washington DC, Mexico City, London, Accra, Johannesburg, Sao Paulo, The Hague, Singapore and Sydney in addition to locally based staff across North America, Africa, South Asia and Asia Pacific regions. Through our global satellite fleet which reaches 99% of the world’s population, we offer regional strength and expertise, on a global scale. All of these resources are focused on you, the customer.

The SES group comprises of 2 main satellite operators namely SES WORLD SKIES and SES ASTRA. Being part of the SES group gives us financial stability and the ability to invest in the future. We are able to leverage the global resources of the SES group to the benefit of our customers. The benefit of being owned by a satellite group is that we are we are passionate about satellites. It’s our core business. In addition, the group has participations and investments in regional satellite operators and satellite service companies. SES WORLD SKIES has participations in Ciel which is a Canadian satellite operator and Quetzsat, a Mexican satellite operator. SES Astra has participations in Solaris Mobile and wholly owns SES Sirius and a number of satellite service companies. 3

We provide critical connectivity and distribution services that allow our customers to fulfill their communications goals and business ambitions. What do we do? More specifically, we: Operate a global fleet of communication satellites providing capacity which enables customers in media, enterprise and government to provide connectivity and distribution services to their end users. We have global coverage in C-Band We have comprehensive land mass coverage in Ku-band We have efficient restoration and back-up capabilities We have access to multiple orbital locations Provide critical connectivity and distribution services that allow our customers to fulfill their communications goals and business ambitions. Provide the services that enable our customers to access our satellites seamlessly. Develop and offer products that add value to our customers’ business. We exist to enable our customers to achieve their ambitions. At SES WORLD SKIES creating the best customer experience includes many things like the personal relationships we have with our customers, the fact that we are a one-stop-shop for customer care, that our customers have a cross functional relationship with us, not just sales, our commitment to long-term partnerships, our fast and responsive service as well as our flexibility and our integrity. SES WORLD SKIES & O3b Connecting the “other 3 billion” people SES has invested in O3b in exchange for a 30% stake SES will provide engineering and commercial support O3b is launching eight satellites in MEO orbit: revolving around the earth, about four times per day Continuous coverage : when one satellite leaves, another satellite takes over without coverage interruption 10 Ka-band steerable beams per satellite , each beam providing between 400 Mbps and 1.1Gbps (max 600down / 500up) Each beam is connected to a high throughput teleport providing fast internet Providing IP trunking and Mobile backhaul solutions to Satellite Resellers, Government Entities, Mobile/Wireless Network Operators, Telcos and ISPs Coverage anywhere in the world between 45° north/south latitude – targeting emerging markets across Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and the Pacific Covering 70% of the world’s population O3b’s network will initially consist of eight Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) satellites operating transponders on steerable beams in Ka-band with very low latency, which will cover approximately 70 percent of the world’s population. The mission of O3b is to provide fast, competitively priced fiber-speed broadband connectivity to billions of people in emerging markets who have so far not experienced the benefits of broadband connectivity. O3b’s IP trunking and wireless backhauling satellite infrastructure will support developing countries in building an efficient network for the provisioning of internet connectivity to telcos, enterprises, governments and individuals. Our involvement with O3b also builds on our strategic plan to increase our exposure in the emerging regions that are poised for explosive growth.  Plus, the services offered by O3b will complement and enrich our portfolio of offerings, and will enable us to approach our customers with a more robust business proposal. In addition to the cash investment, SES will be supporting O3b with mainly engineering and sales activities to help ensure their success.  Plus, the operations of the O3b satellites will be handled out of our Betzdorf facility and the network control will be provided from one of our US-based locations.
