Headline News 2015 AHIP Available on website starting June 23, 2014 ONLY 5 sections NEW Fraud, Waste & Abuse section Make sure the test you take says 2015 certification The cost is $175 when taken directly from AHIP site $125 through carrier sites – Now Available thru UHC! If you are re-certifying, If you are re-certifying, you only have to read modules 4 & 5 YOU ARE TESTED ON ALL 5 MODULES! -> YOU ARE TESTED ON ALL 5 MODULES!  After successful completion of the final AHIP exam, the FWA course will “unlock”  When it is complete, the FWA exam will “unlock”  Agents have 1hour to complete the 10-question exam. They must score 90% to pass. No EXAM!  Once the FWA exam is completed, General Compliance course will “unlock.” No EXAM!  After completing AHIP, you have the option to purchase Continuing Education credits

Focus Discussion “AEP Prep: Event Reporting”  Definition of an Event:  Community Meeting  Any meeting held in public place  Includes: Private club, Church, Club House, etc.  Booth/Table located ANYWHERE!  NOT an Event:  Any meeting or presentation held in a personal residence!  MUST DOs:  Report Every Event in a timely manner  Schedule at least 3 weeks in advance  Use CMS approved presentation materials  SHOW UP!!!

Focus Discussion “AEP Prep: Event Reporting” 1.Secure Event Space 2.Complete ALL Required Certifications 3.Submit Event date to Carriers:  UHC = 21 days before date of event  Complete Event Form  Must be reported to CMS by all carriers  EVENT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED If submitted FEWER than 21 days If submitted without Agent Certification 4.Use Carrier Checklists and ALL Resources

Focus Discussion “AEP Prep: Event Reporting”  Changes to event: Submit minimum 3 days prior  Cancelling event: Minimum 7 days prior Must Notify Carrier! Every effort must be made to notify members who have RSVP’d Notifications to members should be documented NEVER cancel < 7 days before event – get another agent to take your place.
