Anxiety Disorder  Serious emotional or behavioral problems  Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)  Constant thoughts or fears  Partake in unorthodox, and uncanny actions (rituals)  Example: person who needs all the napkins on a table to be folded in a specific shape

Characteristics  Repetitive thoughts  Immense amounts of stress  Cannot control the images that they see  Unproductive due to repetition of rituals

Symptoms  Fear of dirt  Fear of causing harm to others  Fear of making a mistake  Fear of being embarassed  Fear of thinking evil  Need for order, symmetry  Excessive doubt

Prevalence  In 2000, OCD was among the top 20 causes of mental illnesses between ages  OCD fourth most common mental illness  1-2% of the world are diagnosed with it  Lower among young children  Increases during childhood and adolescence

Eating Disorders  Abnormal eating habits- insufficient or excessive food  Binge Eating Disorder (BED)  Leads to obesity  Could be genetically inherited
