Circulatory System By: Luis Ramirez

Major Function Its major function is to transport and cool the body. It transports gases, hormones, blood cells, amino acid and lymph to the parts of the body where they are required.

Major Organs The major organ of the circulatory system is the heart. Other components of the circulatory system are attires, veins and capillaries. The lungs are another organ that play a major role in the circulatory system. The lungs are considered part of the respiratory system, however the exchange of carbon dioxide and oxygen between the lungs and the blood is basically the circulatory system.

How does it Work? The blood circulatory system delivers nutrients and oxygen to all cells in the body. It consists of the heart and the blood vessels running through the entire body. The arteries carry blood away from the heart; the veins carry it back to the heart.
