The Middle Ages

To continue your study of the Middle Ages: You will be embarking on a research project of your choice starting today. You will choose to research to create a Middle Ages themed poster or a Middle Ages themed ABC book. In both projects, there is some important information to consider.

Important Information Neatness counts! Color carefully, cut and draw straight, and spell your words correctly! Teamwork counts! I am allowing you to pick ONE partner. Choose wisely. Both partners will receive the same grade. You have the option to work by yourself. A correct bibliography/works cited is required! You must turn in a bibliography with a minimum of 3 sources, written in the correct form. Work time will be given! You will have May 7 through May 13 to work on this project. Be thorough but use your time wisely! Your project is due at the end of the period on Tuesday, May 13th This is a large part of your grade!! This project is worth 100 points.

Middle Ages ABC Book You are creating an alphabet picture book showing the culture of Medieval Europe. Obviously, your book will have a minimum of 26 sections (one for each letter of the alphabet). Follow the example on the following page for format. You must incorporate all 8 of the following elements of culture: religion, government, food, shelter, clothing, values, technology/science, and art/recreation. Each letter/picture needs 3-5 sentences explaining the scene. Print may be typed or handwritten; pictures must be drawn by hand. Include a cover page and give your book a title. An average (“C”) book will give only one example per letter. An outstanding book (“A”) will give three or four examples per letter. The only exception to that would be for the letters “Q”, “X”, “Y” and “Z”! Be creative!

Middle Ages Educational Poster You are creating a poster showing the culture of Medieval Europe. You need to design a poster that will reflect the following 8 areas of culture. Make sure all of the assigned questions are answered completely and correctly!

For today! You will need to make a decision regarding a partner. You will need to commit to one of the two projects; you may not change your mind after today. You need to pick up a set of directions for your group. You need to start your research IN THE TEXT.
