2. Assignment – Due, Monday, November 7 Imagine you have been time-warped into the distant past (before 12,000 BCE). You are a member of a hunter-gatherer society. Use what you know about this type of society, as well as what we discussed in class, to describe a day in the life of a hunter/gatherer. You may: (1) write a journal/diary entry (2) draw and color a cartoon strip to illustrates that day. Make it as creative and realistic as possible!

Describe your surroundings- either with words or drawings- what environment do you live in, and how does the environment influence what you live in, what tools you use, and how you spend your time? What do you eat? How do you get it? Who lives with you? What do you do for fun? (if anything) What do you do in your free time? Who tells you what to do? Address how the environment you have chosen influences what food you eat, what tools you use, what shelter you live in, and what clothes (if any) you wear.

You will be graded based on the amount of correct detail you include about this type of society, (at least 15 of the 21 points from the activity are displayed)as well as your effort, neatness, and creativity. If you draw a paneled cartoon, make sure it is colored. The journal/diary entry should be no less than 2 hand written pages.
