Bobcat Quick Reference Guide Battlefield High School School Hours: 7:20-2:00 School Website: ATTENDANCE OFFICE Early release and bus notes must be submitted to the Attendance Office prior to the 7:13 warning bell. Absent notes must be submitted within two days of absence. Activity Buses run on Tuesdays and Thursdays Dress Code: No pajamas, revealing or tight-fitting clothing, spaghetti straps, hats, bandanas, or tee-shirts with inappropriate pictures or writing Skirts and shorts should be finger tip length Students who are dressed inappropriately will be asked to change, call home for clothes, or to wear “Dress Coded” attire the remainder of the day Additional dress code information can be found in your student agenda There are 5 lunch shifts: A, B, C, D, and E. Your 4 th and 5 th block classes dictate which lunch you attend! Create a “quiet place” at home to work and study! Prior Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance Before you react, take a deep breath, count to 5, and think before you speak. A level head and respectful tone are always appreciated! You must have a pass to go to the clinic and see Mrs. Fairbanks, the school nurse. We encourage you to get to know your counselor and administrator. You can make an appointment before school, between classes, during lunch, or after school. Make School Fusion an everyday part of your life! Your teachers will update it regularly and upload materials for you to use.

If your electronic device is taken by a staff member, your parent/guardian will have to come to school to claim it! Need some help with your classes? You can make use of the following services: National Honor Society (NHS) Tutors The Bobcat Writing Center Lunch –N- Learn Use your time between classes wisely: use the restroom, visit your locker, and make your way to the next class. When communicating in writing with teachers, remember to be respectful, clear, and state your question or concern articulately. Do not forget to sign your name to the . The school library and librarians are great resources for completing assignments in any subject! Report lost or missing items to the Security office. Take the PSAT in 10 th and 11 th grade and plan to take the SAT and/or ACT in 11 th grade and again in 12 th grade. In order to try out for a school sport, you must have earned 5 credits in a semester, and have a current (less than 1 year old) physical and concussion training on file with the school. Teachers update grades at least once a week. Students and parents can access grades from the Parent Portal on the BHS website. Use your agenda to keep track of homework, important dates, and as a hall pass. You can buy school supplies and spirit wear at the school store during lunch. You can even open a savings account at the Apple Credit Union. Do not share your student number with anyone else! It is your lunch number and will be used throughout your high school career! For school closings or delays you can check the BHS website, the local news channels, or local radio stations. 2-hour delay means school starts at 9:20 Success is a Choice but we don’t allow Failure! Tardy students should report to the Attendance Office for a pass before going to class! If you want to purchase a yearbook, pre-order it! There is no guarantee there will be extras at the end of the year! Bring cash or checks (payable to BHS) and drop off in main office.
