2 Meeting Agenda Briefly reviewing previous meeting decisions and what has been achieved. Approving AMEDA balance sheet & financials. Voting for new applicants from Dubai and Kenya. Briefly explaining AMEDA’s role in heading ANNA WG4.

3 Meeting Agenda (Cont.d) Presentations from new members from South Africa and Saudi Arabia. Presentation by Millennium Information Technologies on the Integration of African and Middle East Markets Other presentations from esteemed organizations as ANNA and else. Open discussions on selected topics sponsored by Thomas Murray and SWIFT.

4 Jordan Meeting’s Decisions: 1. Members agreed to quote the ACSDA form of questions to be discussed by them and if agreed upon it will be used by members and published on the AMEDA website. 2. There will be an open discussion session in all AMEDA meetings to discuss issues of interest to AMEDA members. 3. Members will submit their questions about other markets to the AMEDA secretariat to be circulated to all AMEDA members and discussed in an open discussion manner in all next meetings. 4. All members approved the joining of South Africa. 5. AMEDA meetings that are held twice a year; the first meeting will be restricted to members and will be more like a general assembly. The second meeting will be open to all market participants with open discussions and seminars. Otherwise, in the same meeting, the first day restricted to members and the second day open to all market participants and guests. 6. AMEDA members agreed to have the next meeting in Mauritius in May 2008 then in South Africa in October 2008 then in Budapest in 2009 then in Libya late The training co-operation among members can be either through the e-learning process or through the bilateral training visits among members that are unofficial visits. Mrs. Monica suggested providing AMEDA members with Strate e-learning CD. 8. There will be presentations about SWIFT in Cairo or Dubai some time in November or December about SWIFT basics and principles. Then in Cairo in March and in Durban in May, the SWIFT regional meeting conferences will take place and later during the Mauritius meeting they will address technicalities and how to integrate CSDs’ systems with SWIFT interface. 9. Mauritius and Jordan will decide whether they will be the other two representatives of the AMEDA organization in the Seoul Project. 10. By mid November, AMEDA members should submit their topics of interest to the AMEDA secretariat to be discussed in the Tokyo meeting.

5 Quoting ACSDA members profile to be used by AMEDA members if desired. Mrs. Monica suggested to quote the form and discuss it and if convenient, it can be used by AMEDA members. 6 Mrs. Monica offered Strate e-learning process and actually she kindly submitted relevant documents to all AMEDA members by . Training co-operation among members which did took place but in a less broaden manner. Members with queries about other members markets will circulate their questions to the secretariat to seek replies and that has been achieved where new markets seek assistance of old markets. 7 Members get acquainted with SWIFT where there were two conferences held about SWIFT one held in Dubai and the other was in Egypt where many AMEDA members attended either one of them. Review Previous Meeting Decisions & How Did We Do? (Cont.d)

8 What Have Been Achieved The first Interim Meeting that took place in Japan where AMEDA was represented by its president. AMEDA web has been totally redesigned Each member has a unique username and password to login the AMEDA web. Each member has a brief on the web – a small introduction about each market. All presentations during all previous meetings are available on the web.

9 Goals for Next Period What is Expected from Members More interaction and co-operation among members through activating on job training. Determining topics of interest to be discussed in open sessions during coming meetings. Encourage more AMEDA members to take part of the Depository Information gathering Project – DIGP of the AGC. Exchange of interfaces if needed.
