5. Introduction to Stella The general aim of the working visits is to enhance the participant’s knowledge of the host institution. Such a visit will allow participants to discover the functioning of a similar service and improve his or her skills. The host institution also profits from the visits. In the academic year 2006-07, 31 universities belonging to the CGU have participated in the programme, offering a total of 72 places (22 more than last year). 114 applications were received (compared to the 55 in 2006) and 64 applicants were pre-selected by home universities.
