BlueChip Basketball Association Fall League Information

Blue Chip Athletix thrives on the volunteer efforts of its coaches, creating a league run by and enjoyed by many families of Saint Johns County. The league also prides itself on giving back to the community when an opportunity presents itself. We will always support our local schools and coaches. As Volunteer coaches at the school, we pride ourselves on building a strong Saint Johns County basketball program. Our director is a proud supporter of the PTO and manages a “ Chargers Dads Club” who helps the PTO whenever there is a need. Our president is the volunteer head coach of the girls basketball team. Giving back to our community is truly important to us, and partnering up with the surrounding schools, especially Patriot Oaks Academy and Creekside High School is paramount. To volunteer for our league as a Coach and make a difference in a kids life, contact Jeremy or Dennis at: Blue Chip Athletix thrives on the volunteer efforts of its coaches, creating a league run by and enjoyed by many families of Saint Johns County. All children who are registered during the online registration period will be placed on a team. The player evaluation process gives the coaches and BlueChip Basketball directors the opportunity to watch each child perform basic basketball skills. We strive to create competitive teams and parity within each division. These evaluations assist us in moving toward this goal. Players may play up in a higher age group if the Director approves, but we do not allow players to play down with younger players unless approved by the League President. Our goal is 10 players per team in the fall. However this is a "goal" only and will depend seasonally on the number kids who sign up per division, number of coaches, etc.. Each team will have only one head coach who will attend the tryout and draft sessions. A parent of a child on the team roster may then be named as an assistant coach. A reminder to ALL COACHES, PARENTS, and PLAYERS – BlueChip basketball is intended to be a fun, developmental recreational league! While it is certainly more enjoyable to win the game, we hope all participants share our belief that the development of skills, character, and friendship is more important. We ask all participants, parents, and spectators to please “keep things in perspective” and show good sportsmanship.
