Education system of Uzbekistan The education system of Uzbekistan is based on "The Law of education" and "National program preparing of specialists “ adopted Main idea of program is to provide continuous education for youth.

Education system of Uzbekistan: levels of education Basic education- total 12 year, compulsory and free Primary:4 years Secondary:5 years Same school Secondary specialized education- professional colleges OR (selective) 3 years Academic lyceums (high schools)

The Bologna Process in Uzbekistan Student workload/duration for the most common Bologna programmes Bachelor programm es -4 years Not compliant with Bologna Master programm es-2 years Not compliant with Bologna Uzbekistan has undertaken a reform of its degree structure, replacing the previous one with a two-level higher education system. At present Uzbekistan has completely switched to two-level higher education and a new structure has become the only structure for all HEIs (except medicine): 4 year Bachelor degree programmes and 2 year Master degree programmes

The Bologna Process in Uzbekistan European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) Legislation on ECTS RATING SYSTEM (minimum - 56 points, maximum points) On the basis of the assessment results a decision is made about the transfer of successful students to the next year of the educational programme. It is impossible to be transferred to the next year if the requirements of the curriculum are not met by the students.
