You will have a quiz over Greek roots 1- 56, with particular emphasis on # Please put away your composition notebook, flash cards, etc. You will have about 5 minutes. Community Come up and get a highlighter for your “Community” color. Go back through the text with a partner. With your highlighter, put a star next to each example your find of community. Look for the following: ▫Examples of the village, villagers, or groups of villagers as a community ▫Examples of the family community

Character Charts Make 4 charts in your notebook with 2 columns each. ▫Column 1: words and/or actions ▫Column 2: conclusion Label each charts as follows: ▫Tessie Hutchinson—finish as homework! ▫Old Man Warner ▫Mr. Joe Summers ▫Villagers (groups within the community) Complete the charts by filling in words and actions that you think are significant and by drawing conclusions about each of the characters.
