Since Monday is Presidents’ Day and you are giving a speech the quarter, we should read a famous speech by a U.S. President! Read the speech. Do not write on the speech. It is a class set. Answer the questions on the sheet. What is the purpose, audience, and location? You may use your phone to look up location and determine the audience. How does the author use logos, pathos, and ethos? What other techniques does the author use to make the speech effective?
