2 Monday: Bell Ringer 1.was 2.were 3.was 4.is 5.As the sky grew light, Tally heard the sound of the sea in the distance, a faint roar coming from across the horizon. The air smelled like salt, which brought back memories of going to the ocean with Ellie and Sol as a littlie. 6.Those camping trips with Sol and Ellie felt as if they’d happened a hundred years ago. She wonder if there was some operation that could make her back into a littlie again, forever.

3 Today: We will review for the test tomorrow!

4 Bulls Eye -Groups of 4-5. -First team to write answer on board wins. -Points are determined by bullseye!! -GOOD LUCK.. -Mr. Gaskins gets final say of who put up boards first!!

5 KaBLAM 1.Groups of 6. 2.Each group gets a container. 3.Each person answers a question correctly, they get to keep their sticks. 4.If you get a KaBLAM stick, all your sticks go back into the bin… 5.5 mins, then switch bins!!

16 Unpack 4.1 Look at the final assessment. As you read through it, answer the questions on the worksheet. Once you finish #5, get it checked off by me. I will give you posterboard to work on.

17 Writing Prompt for Assessment ●Using multiple critical perspectives, students will create an informational research essay about a current event. ●Students will then take that essay and turn it into a Newscast for the Final (20%).

23 Next: 1.Pick one school event that is coming up, one local, state, national, and international event that you have some knowledge about. 2.Fill in the chart on worksheet 4.2A. 3.Once finished, share with a partner and see if you have similar events. Answer the questions after the chart. 4.Turn in worksheet on podium, pick up 4.2B, and wait for instructions.

24 Friday Bell Ringer: 1.Make sure the whole week is completed! 2.Take the quiz. 3.When finished, get a red pen. 4.Turn in bell ringer sheets to the bin! 5.Work on MISSING WORK!!!

27 Lastly: -After reading both articles on the worksheets, pick a side… -Draft a two paragraph argument stating which side you believe has stronger and more valid points. - Make sure you have two quotes from the articles. - Cited CORRECTLY.
