Basic Rules Footwork - When you catch the ball your landing foot cannot be moved (your other foot can!) - it’s like 2 steps. Repossession - Once you have the ball you may not release and re-take possession without another player first touching the ball

Distance - you cannot defend within 3 feet of the player with the ball.

Contact Netball is NON- CONTACT. That means the player AND the ball when it is in a players possession If a player does not have the ball you may ‘mark’ or ‘block’ within 3 feet of them WITHOUT using contact

Centres The centre pass is taken by the C with both feet in the C circle. Centre passes alternate between teams.

All other players must be outside the Centre third The ball goes back to the centre pass after every goal. Centres

Lastly Side / back line throws must be taken by a player outside of the lines, where the ball went off. The ball must be touched in each third. The umpire is ALWAYS right!

PLAY NICE!!
