3. Soccer Soccer is a game played with 22 people on the field at one time, with 11 people on each team. There is one goalie on each team and they guard a goal, which the opposing team has to kick the ball into.

4. Tennis Tennis is a game where you play with a ball and a Tennis racquet. You take turns hitting the ball to each other over the net. If you hit the ball out of the court the other person gets a point. You score tennis like this: Love (0) 15 30 40 Match point

5. Football Football is a sport played with a ball the shape of an egg about 20 centimetres long. The ball is kicked by 2 teams of players. The objective is to kick the ball in to the goal posts on the other teams goals. The goals are not like the soccer goals. They are four posts 7 meters apart.

6. Hockey Hockey is a sport played by 2 teams of players. You are allowed to have a maximum of 11 players from a team on the field at one time. You play hockey with hockey sticks and a hard plastic ball about the size of a orange.

7. Cricket Cricket is a sport played with a wooden bat called a cricket bat and a leather ball called a cricket ball. The aim of the games is to hit the ball as hard as you can and run to the other side of the pitch. The bowler throws the ball with a straight arm and aims for the wickets, three wooden poles that the batter stands in front of. If the ball hits the wickets the batter is out and the next person in the team has a go.

8. Netball Netball is a ball sport played with 7 players on the court at a time. The positions are goal keeper, goal defence, wing defence, centre, wing attack, goal attack, goal shooter. The aim is to pass the ball between the players and try to get it to the goal shooter who tries to shoot the ball through the goal hoop. The players are only allowed in certain places.

9. Basketball Basketball is similar to netball but the rules are different. You are allowed to bounce the ball and you can take the ball off other players. Penalty shots are worth 1 point, normal shots are worth 2 and shots from behind the 3 point line are worth 3. Basketball can also be played by people in wheelchairs.

10. Volleyball is a game played with four people on a team. In this game there are two teams on either side of the net. The two teams take it in turns to hit the ball over the net to each other. The aim of the game is to hit the ball over the net and make it touch the ground on the opponents side. This picture is of Beach Volleyball, but Volleyball is usually played inside on a court.
