1 You are umpiring this third of the Netball court. You are looking out for players offside and ball out of court. REMEMBER! Offside= When a player is an area they are not supposed to be. Out of court= When the ball goes out of the court.

2 You are umpiring this third of the Netball court. You are looking out for footwork and contact. REMEMBER! Footwork= Players can not move with the ball. They can pivot on their landing foot or if they land two-footed can chose a pivot foot. Contact= No player may contact an opponent, either deliberately or accidently.

3 You are umpiring the goal circle of the Netball court. You are looking out for obstruction and holding. REMEMBER! Obstruction= if a players’ feet are less than 3 feet away from a player in possession of the ball. Held ball= a player must pass or shoot within 3 seconds

Obstruction= if a players’ feet are less than 3 feet away from a player in possession of the ball. Foot fault= When a player throws the ball in from out of court their feet must be up to but not touching the line.

Ball handling/replayed ball= once a player has control over the ball they must not drop it and replay it. Centre pass=the ball must be caught by a player who is in the centre third.
