I will now hand back your Touching Spirit Bear tests. If you made BELOW a 70%, you have the option of doing test corrections. I will give you instructions for these once we have gone over the test. Take out a colored pencil or marker and put the correct letter of the answer out beside any that you missed.

1. A 2. A 3. C 4. D 5. D 6. C 7. C 8. C 9. C 10. A 11. D 12. D 13. B 14. A 15. C 16. D 17. D 18. A 19. A 20. D 21. A 22. D 23. D 24. C 25. D

How to do test corrections ( Optional assignment if you made less than a 70 on the test) - Test corrections must be done on a separate sheet of paper that you will attach to your original test. - Title this Test corrections for Touching Spirit Bear test - You must write a correction for each question you missed. - A correction includes ALL of the following... - write out the ENTIRE question - write out the letter of the correct answer AND the entire answer - Justify this correct answer with a reason, preferably textual evidence For example, if you missed #1 on the test, here is what an acceptable test correction would look like: 1. Which words best describe the change that occurs in Cole from the beginning of the novel to the end? A - angry and defiant to understanding and sensitive. A is correct because at the start of the novel, Cole blames his problems on his parents and Peter, and he doesn't listen to authority at all, but rather makes his own rules. In the end, however, he helps Peter by inviting him to the island and gaining Peter's forgiveness. The two even carve a circle into the totem together.

Notebook cleanout procedures Make 2 piles on your desk: Recycle: Any notes, warm ups, LEQs, etc. If it doesn't have a grade on it, then it can be recycled. To be placed in green file folder: All quizzes, homework assignments, tests, etc. If it does have a grade on it, then it needs to go in the hanging green folder. Enjoy your nice, clean notebook!

Spelling Bee If you want to participate, sit on your desk. If not, remain in your chair. I will go around the room with the same word until someone spells it correctly. If no one does, then everyone who missed it will get back up and we will move on to a new word.
