Existing Conditions Samson Pavement Resurfacing Sections are in great need of resurfacing due to inconsistent treatment. The Safe Routes Sidewalk project has taken several years to prioritize and obtain federal funds, and the now funded portion of the project should not be concluded without a complete Mill and Overlay project. Samson Traffic conditions Traffic Calming measures are necessary due to the lack of consistent pavement width, sidewalk, curbing etc. Both Kings and Woodland have sidelines and bike route designators. Key intersections improved with accessible walks and improved visibility. Consistent treatment of curbs, aprons, ramps, inlets, bikeway, crossings and sidewalks will improve overall safety of all users. Upon completion, can be designated both “Safe Route to School” and a “Complete Street”.
