Transfer Admission Presentation to English 1A Classes Developed by Debra Louie, Counselor/Professor Spring 2012 In Collaboration with the Career Transfer Center, Counseling & Special Services Division, and your English 1A Professor

Goals To inspire and motivate you to earn an Associate Degree and transfer to a 4-year university and beyond: BA, MA, PhD, Ed.D. To inform you of the transfer admission requirements to UC, CSU, UOP & others To reinforce the need to identify your career and academic major, and to complete appropriate major preparation courses To foster communications with a counselor and develop a Student Education Plan (SEP) To identify resources that can help you.

California’s Master Plan for Higher Education Since 1960, the California Master Plan for Higher Education has guided our public higher education system. The master plan states that students can complete the first two years of a bachelor’s degree program at a community college and if they meet certain requirements, they will be admitted to a UC or CSU campus. We are committed to helping you to transfer to a 4- year university and be able to realize your dream to achieve a college degree.
