7. SB 1440 (Padilla) Student Transfer Achievement Reform Act 1. Students will be able to earn an Associate Degree AND prepare for transfer 2. Provides a clear pathway for transfer 3. Students will not be required to repeat similar classes 4. Upon completion of AA-T/AS-T degree, student is guaranteed junior standing to CSU 5. Priority admission when applying to a CSU 6. 8. The Associate Degree for Transfer: AA-T or AS-T 1. To earn an “associate degree for transfer” a student must complete 60 semester units... that are eligible for transfer... that consist of:  IGETC or CSU GE Breadth  a major or area of emphasis of at least 18 units, as defined by the CCC 2.
