7 Benefits of completing a TAG/TAA:
Guarantee of admission upon completion of all admissions and TAG/TAA requirements by the end of Spring 2014 Universities will verify your coursework in advance and let you know if there are additional courses you should complete – responses in November of 2013 You are notified of admission earlier than with a regular application If you’re planning to transfer to one of the listed universities, writing a TAG/TAA makes the process easier

8 Application Process All students must submit an online application (even if you have completed a TAG) Students apply Fall 2013 for admissions in Fall 2014 CSU application filing period October-November UC application period November Application, essay, and TAG workshops are offered throughout the Fall. 9 AA-T/AS-T: What is it? A new type of associate degree, another path into the CSU An option that allows students to complete an Associate degree while also completing CSU transfer requirements at the same time. With the Guarantee of admission to the CSU system into a similar major, and the requirement of only 60 units at the university to achieve a Bachelor’s degree This PPT was developed by a counseling materials workgroup in August 2012 to help counselors as they do orientation sessions for students. It is intended to provide the basic information regarding the new associate degrees for transfer. Please feel free to customize this presentation to suit your local needs.
