Vision and Mission VISION: We are highly sought for our scientific leadership and impartial knowledge. MISSION: Our Mission is to generate and communicate scientific knowledge that helps people understand and make informed choices about natural resources and the environment.

Goals Understanding ecological, social, and economic systems and their interactions Assessing Status and Trends of Natural Resource Systems and their Management Developing and communicating tools, options and linkages to enhance integrated management and policy at multiple scales

Priorities – Understanding Advancing the understanding of structure, function, and processes of ecological systems. Improving the understanding of social and economic processes and their interaction with natural resource values and uses.
