Application Process Whole application process is done via UCAS. To apply you will need to register at prepare a personal statement (where you will state your predicted grades) and 2 references from teachers. Deadline for most applications: 15 January With exception of Oxford and Cambridge Universities and most medical degrees for which the deadline is 15 October Application process starts from September and its cost is £22. If successful you will typically receive a conditional offer where the university states what conditions you need to meet to be offered a place. You can also receive an unconditional offer which means that you are already offered a place- no strings attached. If unsuccessful you will be sent a rejection. Should you receive no offers or be unsuccessful, from the end of February until the beginning of June you can apply through UCAS Extra which gives you the opportunity to apply for a 6th university. From June there is another option for those with no offers- UCAS Clearing, where there is information about free places at universities.

How much does it cost? Current course fees: England and Wales: ca £9,000 per year Northern Ireland: £3,575 per year Scotland: Free Living costs: varies depending on location

How do I pay for it? Tuition Fee – Student Finance Loan ( grants) grants You will start repaying once you start earning £21,000 per year, it is written off after 30 years Living costs – Part time work, scholarships offered by Universities
