7 The UCAS application process
5 course choices If you are applying for Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary Medicine, your 5th choice must be a different subject You may only apply to Oxford OR Cambridge Explain that it is (up to) 5 course choices – this can be 5 courses at 1 university if preferable. Universities do not know which other institutions the student has applied to. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK IF ADMISSIONS TESTS ARE REQURIED FOR YOUR COURSE. YOU HAVE TO DO THE UKCAT FOR MEDICINE/DENTISTRY

Application timeline Applications completed for medical courses and Oxbridge 15th October 2018 Applications completed for the majority of courses 15th January 2019 Applications received after 30 June are entered into clearing 30th June 2019 We have internal deadlines which are different! Make sure you stick to them! October Half term – internal deadline Medical courses = medicine, dentistry and vet med/science Please mention that there are few art and design courses for which the deadline is 24th March 2013
