13 Grading at AS and A Level This is different to GCSE. Every Grade is a Pass except ‘U’. Each Grade carries points to get into University. Universities will ask students to achieve a certain number of points or grades to be accepted onto a course. AS Points A = 60 B = 50 C = 40 D = 30 E = 20 U = 0 A2 Points A = 120 B = 100 C = 80 D = 60 E = 40 U = 0 Sheffield Hallam LAW Degree = 300 Points This could be 1 Grade A, 1 Grade B’s, 1 Grade C at A2 s
