What do you know about our Planet? (Write some on board)  Earth is the only planet on which water can exist in liquid form on the surface.  Earth is referred to as the BLUE PLANET. WHY?  Earth is 24,900 miles around the equator. How thick is the crust that we live on?  The mostly solid skin of the planet is only 41 miles (66 kilometers) thick -- thinner than the skin of an apple, relatively speaking. Rules & Procedures

1.Be in your assigned seat Before the bell. 2.Use appropriate language at all times. 3.Raise your hand for permission to speak. 4.Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself. 5.Do your own work (no copying others).

 Begin the Warm-Up after entering the classroom.  Show mutual respect and listen when other students or the teacher are speaking to the class.  Remain in your seats until the teacher dismisses you at the end of the period.  Leave the classroom clean by picking up any paper or trash off the floor and not writing on desks.  Be responsible for finding out what you missed when you are absent and getting make-up assignments.

Grading A: % B: 80-90% C: 70-80% D: 60-70% = passing F: 0-60% = not passing (Give examples) Essentially, if you attend everyday, do what you are asked and turn in assignments when they are due, you should have no problem passing this class. However, if your overall grade ever drops to an F, you will be required to come in once a week (when?) for tutoring until you get back up to a passing grade.
