Autotrophic Organisms Use light energy to make their own food Provide ULTIMATE SOURCE OF ENERGY for all living things All plants, some Protists, some bacteria

Heterotrophic Organisms CANNOT use light energy to make food Obtain food energy by CONSUMING their food Animals, fungi, protists
