ARTIST INFORMATION Allison Torneros is a Los Angeles-based artist and designer whose art dreamscapes are an exploration in human psychology and behavior. She takes a reactive approach to the creative process by allowing the medium to do the 'talking': by throwing around paint in an unpredictable manner and leaving it to dry overnight, she later begins drawing based on what she interprets from the random composition, similar to reading a Rorschach inkblot test. Her compositions are created through a variety of media: acrylic, oil, spraypaint, graphite, Photoshop, and Illustrator. People, current events, and literature are noted as some of her biggest sources of inspiration. Her style and use of bold texture and rhythm are influenced by her interest in street art, music, fashion, the paranormal, and Art Noveau. Torneros' work has attracted the likes of companies such as MTV, URB Magazine, HP, North Face, and Skechers. Her competitive nature led her to win First Place at the Cut & Paste SF 2009 Digital Design Tournament and in 2008 was a competitor on MTV's Engine Room, a reality show/digital arts competition. She balances her time between painting and running CircleDot, her graphic design studio.CircleDot

ARTIST INFORMATION Allison Torneros is a Los Angeles-based artist and designer. Born in 1985 in the San Francisco Bay Area, Allison started drawing at the age of 2. Her early passion for art, coupled with her experience growing up in the Silicon Valley, led her to pursue both digital and traditional avenues at a young age and at 11 years old she designed her first website. She began exhibiting her artwork in galleries months after graduating high school and to this day, Allison continues to balance her digital and fine art pursuits. She graduated from UCLA in 2008 with a Bachelors Degree in Design|Media Arts, and while in her senior year of college, Allison formed CircleDot, a creative studio whose roster includes such names as Disney, Procter&Gamble, and DreamWorks, as well as celebrities and innovative startup companies. Recently, The North Face and Allison Torneros released an Artist Collaboration for Spring 2011 that consists of graphic bags and apparel, each with a Torneros signature hang tag. In 2008 she was a competitor on MTV’s Engine Room, a reality show/digital arts competition sponsored by HP which brought top international talent from all over the world together in New York to compete in creative challenges. Her competitive nature led her to later win First Place and People’s Choice at the Cut & Paste SF 2009 Digital Design Tournament. Allison is a self-proclaimed geek, dance machine, and expert in all things Michael Jackson. She works happily in her studio in Los Angeles.
